Annual Reports

The significant power granted to the Constitutional Council requires that the institution educate the public as to its actions, given its influence in all areas of public policy, and more generally, in subjects that are the concerns of our fellow citizens.

Since 2016, every 4 October, the anniversary of the Constitution of the Fifth French Republic, the Constitutional Council's operational report is published. It presents the highlights of the past year, with a selection of legal decisions, a detailed presentation of the institution, its missions, and its international activity.

This publication seeks to present an educational summary of the Constitutional Council's activity to a wide public, and to create a strong link between the jurisdiction and society.
